suGUARD

suGUARD is a security package that allows the system manager create a sophisticatied hierarchical management structure for both systems and application software. The suGUARD system works by defining a profile which specifies the requirements (UID, GID, security level, access location, time-of-day, etc.) needed to run any program or script, without the user needing to know sensitive passwords. suGUARD validates and logs all command access attempts, alerts the system manager about unauthorized usage, and creates varoius utilization reports. The suGUARD package can work in a standalone environment, or in conjunction with GUARDIAN, Datalynx� access control software.
